Mindfulness & Somatic Therapy focuses on helping your mind and body work together, rather than feeling like they are constantly at odds. Many people notice racing thoughts, tight muscles, trouble sleeping, or shutting down emotionally without understanding why. This approach gives you a way to gently tune in instead of pushing through.

During sessions, I introduce simple mindfulness practices - like focused breathing, grounding through the senses, and nonjudgmental awareness of thoughts and emotions. Alongside this, I use somatic strategies such as tracking body sensations, adjusting posture, and using movement or touch-based tools (like holding a comforting object) to support regulation.

These skills can lower baseline stress, improve emotional regulation, and make it easier to stay present during conversations, work tasks, or triggering situations. For clients with trauma histories, we work carefully to build safety first, using mindfulness in short, manageable doses so it feels stabilizing rather than overwhelming.
